Why we exist

Most of health happens at home.

A visit lasts a few minutes. The rest of the year, you are the one making the choices: what to eat, when to check, whether to take the pill, what to ask next time.

Too often, people leave with a diagnosis and a lot of questions. Bee Health Companion started by listening to those questions in our online community, and building guides and tools that answer them clearly.

Learn

Short guides in plain English, based on trusted sources.

Connect

A guided community where experiences are shared and safety comes first.

Take action

A companion app to record, understand, and share your progress.

What we are, and what we are not

Clear about our role.

✓We are

  • A source of plain-English health education
  • A place to share experiences and feel understood
  • A tool to help you follow the plan you make with your care team
  • Careful about privacy and honest about what we know

×We are not

  • A doctor, clinic, or emergency service
  • A replacement for your healthcare professional
  • A place to get a diagnosis or a medicine change
  • A seller of supplements or "cures"

Our content standards

How we decide what to say

  • Primary sources first. We base guides on current guidance from groups like the American Heart Association, CDC, and NIH, and link to them.
  • Plain language. We aim for a 6th–7th grade reading level and explain medical words.
  • Human-reviewed. Tips and habit plans in the app are written and checked by people, versioned, and linked to sources.
  • No hype. We don't promise outcomes, and we don't let sponsors shape advice.
  • Kept current. We update guides when guidance changes and show the date on every page.
